EEF-2019 to be held on 4-6 September in Vladivostok
Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) will be organized on 4-6 September 2019 in Vladivostok. The forum is one of the largest annual business-summits in the Asia Pacific region.
EEF held on 11-13 September 2018 in Vladivostok gathered over 6000 attendees, including officials and representatives of business communities from 60 countries. President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Lee Nak-yeon, Prime Minister of Japan ShinzM Abe were among the Asian leaders participating in the forum.
In his speech at the plenary session President of Russia Vladimir Putin highlighted the necessity to strengthen peace and security and enhance economic and trade cooperation within the region: «All in all, in order to ensure steady development, we need stability, peace and security in the Asia-Pacific Region. It is essential that we prevent new conflicts from emerging and resolve old ones in the spirit of dialogue We strongly believe that in order for our region to achieve high growth rates and remain a key force in international economics and trade, it needs to preserve the spirit of economic freedom and facilitate business initiatives free of sanctions, bans or political bias».
EEF-2018 was a platform for over 100 business events, including panel sessions, business breakfasts, roundtables and TV debates, and broad discussions on issues of the international and regional agenda.
According to the estimates, the participants of EEF-2018 signed 220 agreements in different areas such as chemistry, oil and gas industry, information and communication technologies and many others.
A number of exhibitions («Doing business in the Russian Far East», «Welcome to the Far East» and others) were opened within the framework of the Forum. They provided an opportunity to showcase the potential of all countries participating in the event and to establish a dialogue between investors, heads of companies, representatives of government agencies and the media.
